A Message From Fire Chief John Thomsen
Welcome, and thank you for visiting the Kenosha Fire Department website. Our website will provide you with detailed information regarding each division within the Department and the services we provide.
The Kenosha Fire Department has a proud tradition of excellent public service and we look forward to continuing this tradition. We are committed to serving and protecting the citizens and visitors of Kenosha by providing paramedic level medical care, advanced fire suppression techniques, hazardous materials mitigation, and award winning fire prevention eduction, fire inspections, and fire investigations. To provide these exceptional services, the dedicated men and women of the organization continually advance their skills and knowledge through daily in-service training, college coursework, and specialized hands-on training.
We gratefully acknowledge the support of City Administration and our elected officials. Without their support, we would not be able to continue the exceptional level of service the citizens expect. Additionally, we thank you, the citizens, for your support, praise, and suggestions for improving the Department.
Our budget, firefighter training, and provided services are based upon my vision for the Kenosha Fire Department.
