The responsibilities of the Maintenance Division consists of preventive maintenance and repairs to all vehicles used by the Kenosha Fire Department.

32 vehicles currently in service:

  • 10 Cars and Light Duty Trucks
  • 9 Fire Trucks (pumpers)
  • 5 Advanced Life Support Ambulances
  • 4 Ladder Trucks
  • 1 Basic Life Support Ambulance
  • 1 P-19 Airport Rescue Vehicle
  • 1 Fire Investigation Unit
  • 1 Hazmat Tractor Trailer

Also, this division maintains all tools related such as chain saws, onboard generators, pumps, gas-fired smoke ejectors, TNT rescue tools (Jaws of Life), nozzles, hoses, and hand tools.

Other duties at a station level include plowing, repair and service of generators at each of the seven (7) stations.  We also run an apprentice program through a local high school.
